Milwaukee worker crushed by 3-ton steel bar in work accident

A 6,000-pound bar of steel struck and killed a 22-year-old employee of Acme Galvanizing Inc. The Milwaukee man, an employee of the company for just a few months, had been standing in a no-operators-allowed area beneath a massive steel bar, which had been suspended by a crane when the workplace accident occurred.

Drunk drivers arrested for vehicular homicide in Milwaukee crash

The death of an 18-year-old passenger in a car accident has been blamed on both 22-year-old drivers involved in the two-vehicle Milwaukee crash. Police report that the fatal accident at N. 35th and W. Townsend Streets in the early morning hours of a recent Saturday was caused by drunk driving.

Driver who hit UW student may have been texting

A 20-year-old Sun Prairie woman may have been texting while driving before she struck a University of Wisconsin student in Madison last fall. Police investigators took several months to piece together the accident on East Johnson Street before charging the young woman with homicide by negligent driving.
