Wisconsin woman critically injured in crash

A vehicle driven by a Frederic, Wisconsin man was involved in a dramatic and nearly fatal car accident in Polk County. Police jailed the 29-year-old driver under suspicion of intoxication when the Ford he was driving was sliced in half by a van in Garfield, about 200 miles northwest of Milwaukee. The passenger in the 1998 Ford, a 20-year-old Amery woman, was critically injured in the motor vehicle accident.

Four Amish children injured in car-buggy accident

In a recent news report, two Amish children suffered life-threatening injuries after being thrown from a horse and buggy during a Columbia County auto accident. Two more victims were ejected from the buggy and seriously hurt. According to a news report, they were on their way to school.

Truck-bus crash injures 5 adults, 5 children

A head-on collision on a Janesville, Wisconsin road sent 10 people to the hospital, half of them children. Reports from Rock Township Sheriff's deputies and Wisconsin State Patrol say the cause of the truck accident involving a school bus is under investigation.

Teen driver injures 3 people in Franklin high-speed chase

A Wisconsin teenager is being blamed for a car accident that injured three people, one seriously. Reports say the 16-year-old boy stole a car and struck several vehicles in a high-speed chase in an attempt to elude police capture. The auto accident occurred at the end of the chase.
